Last Horizon, 2020

Centre for International Light Art, Unna, Germany

A 3,8 metre long neon tube blown in the slightly curved shape of a horizon. The diameter of the tube gradually thickens towards the middle part, giving the neon gas in the middle more and more space. What we call ‘horizon’ is a relatively thin layer of gases with which our planet is covered, a blanket of air that is essential for life on earth, untouchable but vulnerable.

In the group exhibition Neon Delight the work was in good company, showing artworks by Tracy Emin, François Morellet, Jan van Munster en Bruce Nauman.
